There are several variants of this textbook available.

• You are viewing the University of Nottingham (UoN) edition of this book, adapted by Ulrik Buchholtz for use in COMP1043 Mathematics for Computer Scientists 2. In 2024, an appendix on fields and vector spaces was added.
• This edition in turn grew out of the UBC Edition, by Ben Williams, which is similar to the Georgia Tech Edition.
• The underlying build system is from another version, rewritten by Joe Rabinoff for use in Math 218D-1 at Duke University.
